At GENERATIONS, we prioritise both student academic success and their well-being, so our young people can learn with joy.
The Well-being Programme is a foundational pillar of the school’s holistic educational philosophy, integrating social-emotional learning as an explicit element within our studies. This comprehensive approach addresses the physical, mental, and emotional health of every student, recognizing that well-being is essential to academic success and personal development.
GENERATIONS receives professional expertise in every aspect of well-being from our on-staff experts and partner organizations, advancing daily wellness concepts, from nutrition to relaxation and emotional management and regulation techniques.
Wellness Sessions
Weekly sessions on empathy, emotion management, and problem-solving, aligned with IB learner profile attributes such as being caring and respectful. Our Buddy System, Big Brother/Big Sister support, strengthened home-school partnerships, and parent information sessions on Social Emotional Learning all help provide a wellness ecosystem that ensures well-being is part of life at GENERATIONS.
Counseling Support
Our expert Counselling Team provides regular review and intervention for students who need extra help. The school day is structured to incorporate protocols and procedures that nurture calm, self-awareness, and the assurance that support is always available when needed.
Nutritional Support
The Generations Canteen and Cafes offer a balanced approach to tasty, nutritious food and drink, helping students make healthy choices for lunch and snacks. Food is fuel, and helping students view what they consume in a positive light bolsters the work of our Wellness Sessions and connects to academic work on health and well-being.
Physical Development
In addition to supporting physical progression, our sports and activities programme is a vital outlet for the daily stresses and strains young people face as they grow. Generations ensures students have many ways to burn off excess energy, helping them better regulate their emotional and cognitive development.
